Chair Yoga Class
This class helps to offset the daily body aches encountered with the natural aging deterioration of posture, the ergonomics of desk work, and provides an accessible yoga class for bodies not able to get up from and down to the floor. We incorporate supported basic strength movements with body coordination to improve balance and functional
range of motion. Class is conducted both seated in a chair, and then standing (if you're able), using the chair as a supportive prop to access the poses.
We focus on important spinal health, and work the critical joints of shoulders, hips, and knees. You’ll need a sturdy, straight chair (a kitchen or dining room chair, not upholstered lounge chair), a dishtowel, and a yoga mat. The class is accessible for ALL body shapes, sizes, varying ages and abilities. No experience is necessary.
